Customer case study · Florida Local Users’ Group

Four days of training.
One connected event.

How the Florida Local Users’ Group manages company registrations, a packed engineering program and continuing-education records.

The challenge

A ticket was only the beginning.

The Florida Local Users’ Group brings engineers together for a four-day technical training forum. Its program combines general sessions, paid workshops and professional continuing education, with company representatives often registering a whole team.

The event’s previous tools let people choose workshops on days outside their pass, or book an all-day workshop alongside an overlapping session. Staff had to resolve those conflicts after registration. Limited workshop seating made every correction harder.

The requirement: a personal agenda for every attendee, matched to their purchased days, workshop seats and verified attendance.

Registration with the whole event in view

One company order.
Different plans for every person.

  1. 01 / PEOPLE

    Add the team.

A company representative selects existing attendees or creates their accounts during registration.

  2. 02 / DAYS

    Choose each pass.

Each attendee gets their own selected days, even when colleagues share the same order.

  3. 03 / AGENDA

    Build their schedule.

Session choices are checked for overlapping times and days outside that person’s pass.

  4. 04 / CHECKOUT

    Review together.

The representative reviews everyone’s days and workshops before placing one order and receiving one invoice.

From registration to the event desk

Keep the details connected
when the rooms start filling.

Seats and waitlists.

Paid workshops have seat limits. When a workshop fills, attendees can join its waitlist during registration. Staff can review the list and create a workshop order for a waiting attendee when a seat opens.

A useful attendee lookup.

Staff can find one person’s registration, sessions, workshops and waitlists in one place. Day-by-day check-in records and outstanding balances support the people working the arrival desk.

Badges from the registration.

Print-ready badges carry the attendee’s name, company, selected days, workshop codes and QR code. Staff can prepare different badge sets for attendees, speakers, sponsors and guests.

An agenda in their pocket.

The companion attendee app brings personal agendas, session details and event announcements together. Session QR scans feed attendance records for staff review.

Continuing education

The credit follows
the attendance record.

For FLUG’s PDH and PSM records, choosing a session is separate from attending it. Staff review attendance before issuing certificates. Attendees can find their credit records and certificates in their own account.

From the agenda to the certificate

  1. 1Registered for the session or workshop
  2. 2Attendance recorded for staff review
  3. 3Attendance verified and course hours reviewed
  4. ✓Certificate issued from verified attendance

About this customer example

A few practical questions.

What is FLUG?

FLUG is the Florida Local Users’ Group. Its engineering training forum brings hundreds of engineers together for four days of technical sessions and workshops, with PDH and PSM continuing-education records.

Do the event figures describe every ConferenceAxis customer?

No. The four-day program, hundreds of engineers and 160+ sessions and workshops describe the FLUG forum. They are an example of one event’s requirements, rather than platform-wide totals.

Can attendees in a company order have different schedules?

Yes. A company representative can place one order and receive one invoice while each attendee has their own purchased days and personal agenda. Schedule checks apply to each person separately.
